The site forms part of a parcel of land originally acquired by Leonard Cheshire Disability, with the land surplus to their requirements. The development lies in an elevated position with its own access to be created from Fore Lane.

This Greenfield site that extends across of 15.5 acres and has outline planning consent for 185 units. The site would be developed on a phased basis and this is reflected in condition 3 of the planning consent which limits the annual number of dwellings to be developed to 40.
